AFC Bournemouth visit Old Trafford on Sunday buoyed by a European win against seven-time continental champions AC Milan. Bournemouth, who were a third-tier club with average crowds of 5,500 the last time Milan won the Champions League in 2007, drew 4-4 at Old Trafford last season and won 3-0 in two visits before that. They will meet a United team reeling from a dreadful start to the season, the low point of which was Wednesday’s 4-1 Champions League hammering by Milan’s tiny neighbours, Como.
